Cookie Policy
Effective May 20, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies, categorised as follows:
Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. You cannot opt out of these cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-* (Supabase auth) | Authentication session — keeps you signed in | Session / 7 days |
| active_brand_id | Remembers your selected workspace | Persistent |
| sidebar_state | Remembers sidebar open/closed preference | Persistent |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare Turnstile bot detection challenge result | Session |
Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
These cookies are only loaded after you accept via our cookie consent banner. They help us understand how visitors use our website.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguish users, measure pageviews | 2 years |
Analytics cookies are not loaded until you click "Accept" on our consent banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not run.
3. Local Storage
We also use browser local storage (not cookies) for:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie preference (accepted/declined) |
| page_hint_* | Remembers dismissed help hints |
Local storage data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We use a limited number of third-party cookies:
- Google Analytics (listed above) — only with your consent
- Cloudflare Turnstile — essential bot detection. Turnstile may set a cookie (
cf_clearance) to record that a visitor has passed a challenge. This is classified as essential because it protects our services from automated abuse. For details, see the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Policy.
We do not use:
- Marketing or advertising cookies
- Social media tracking cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies
5. Managing Your Preferences
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Cookie consent banner: On your first visit, you'll see a banner at the bottom of the page. Click "Accept" to enable analytics cookies, or "Decline" to browse without them.
- Reset your choice: Clear your browser cookies or local storage to see the consent banner again.
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their privacy settings.
6. Error Monitoring
We use Sentry for error monitoring. Sentry does not set cookies in your browser. It collects anonymised error reports (no personally identifiable information) to help us fix bugs. This operates under our legitimate interest in maintaining service quality.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a Do Not Track (DNT) feature. Our cookie consent banner gives you explicit control over analytics cookies, which we believe provides clearer and more effective privacy management than DNT signals.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
9. Contact Us
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at support@almond.studio.
